Catalase Assay Kit

Catalase assay is used to evaluate the presence of catalase in bacteria. This enzyme is capable of hydrolysing hydrogen peroxide to water and oxygen. In the catalase positive bacteria, the released oxygen molecule results in the formation of bubbles during the test, but not in the catalase negative bacteria.
