The AP-RAD Multiplex One-step rRT-PCR Kit is designed for rapid, sensitive, and specific identification and differentiation of SARS-CoV-2 (CoVID-19) in upper and lower respiratory samples from patients with signs and symptoms of CoVID-19 disease.
Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) belongs to the family Coronaviridae and is a betacoronavirus that was discovered in Hubei Province, China in December 2019 and caused pandemic respiratory infections in the first months of 2020. Coronaviruses, the largest RNA viruses with a single strand of positive-sense RNA and are enveloped viruses. Virions are mostly spherical, with pronounced spiked glycoprotein (S) embedded in the envelope. Additional structural proteins include Envelope (E), Matrix (M), and Nucleocapsid (N). SARS-CoV-2 infection seems to occur with mild, influenza-like symptoms in the vast majority of subjects.
The Multiplex rRt PCR one-step CoVID-19 Kit is manufactured by Amirpayvand Research & Development Company in order to qualitatively identifying the SARS-CoV-2 virus that causes CoVID-19 disease. In terms of accuracy, performance, and detection time of this product it is well noted that it is competitive with the overseas kit with 95% accuracy and a sensitivity of 0.4 copy/µL to detect the least amount of virus with the high sensitivity. This product has also been successfully tested in the reference laboratories of the Ministry of Health and has received a sales license.
