Take the first step of diagnosis steady.
Quality control is an important element of quality assurance and constitutes an accepted absolute requirement for the performance of clinical laboratory tests. For some reason, this principle is often less rigorously implemented in the area of urinalysis. There are four fundamental methods for establishing quality control in the urinalysis laboratory:
- Maintaining an awareness of the daily distribution of positive results
- Recognizing internally inconsistent results on a given patient’s sample and following up results that strongly suggest improper collection or some form of unusual sample
- Using quality control materials designed to mimic abnormal urines
- Organizing repeat samples and introducing split samples into the laboratory
AP-RAD levels control are designed to verify the performance of each chemical test at three distinct levels that are recommended for the routine clinical laboratory.
Applications:
AP-RAD urine test strip QC kit is for routine quality control of urine reagent strips. Controls should be tested each day a test is performed, and whenever a fresh bottle of reagent strips is opened. When dipsticks are changed, parallel testing with old and new lots on controls and new lots on Dropper-style controls.
Stability:
- In freeze state: 12 months (- 20° C)
- Thaw in room temperature
- After thawing store in 2-8° C for up to 1 month
